Last summer I made a series of videos to promote my appearance as a jello wrestler named Fancy.
This took place during an odd transitional time of unemployment and a year’s worth of repressed creativity. I’d left my job to pursue a life in Hawaii after my mother’s passing. As I was packing up my things and preparing to leave Atlanta, an unsolicited job opportunity came my way.
While I was considering the option to stay or go, I was at home enjoying leisure summer days of lengthy breakfasts neighbors, freelancing with my former agency and brainstorming video ideas with my dear friend and futurist, Simeon Spearman.
The video series turned out fantastic. I never jello wrestled due to my nervousness  over lack of insurance. Or something like that. This weekend is jello wrestling at Jack’s Pizza. Since my baking accident left me with a zombie finger, I sadly am unable to compete. But there I send all my best wishes to the contestants and will be silently cheering you on. Here’s to last summer and to summer 2012!
